Incompatible Roles: Right and Left

Incompatible Roles: Drug Dealer/Teacher

PROMPT:  Right and Left

Invent a character who has two personality traits (I went with “roles”) that are completely incompatible, that don’t fit together at all. For example: this character is incredibly messy and is also a total perfectionist. How ‘dya figure; different? Well I can see how you might come at it, how you might interpret it. If you look at it from the outside in though, you are going to see it from a different a perspective, naturally. Well, it is different. One can’t really say which is better, but the perspective that I choose is pretty much the best one. Why? Well, it is mine. By the way, I forgot to ask, what types of drugs are we talking? Psychotropics? Natural drugs? Are we talking alcohol? Are we talking heroine? Heavy stuff and/or light stuff that…well, light stuff. As for teaching, are we talking, well, teaching is pretty much teaching. Teaching is across the board great. Unfortunately, I got this…I know this person, who is sort of hopped up on all sorts of drugs; the toughies and the pain killers. That person is a teacher. Of course, one would think that is pretty much of a double standard way of living and preaching. Be good and don’t do this, don’t do that. Teach students and anybody who can learn that this is the light, this is not the light. Perhaps, these two roles are not so different after all. These 2 roles are both on totally different ends of the spectrum. In order to be a true, a successful psycho one must hit on both ends of the spectrum and anything less would be…it would be less. Do it or don’t! Frankly, this character, a character with these “incompatible” traits has long ago been “created.” These characters are everywhere and have existed everywhere and always. Heaven and Hell; Day and Night; Good and Bad. Gee, when one thinks about it it is easy to see how hospitals like the Brigham and Women’s Hospital in Boston are essential to the U.S. The Brigham is a teaching hospital for skillions of doctors of doctors. There are more hospitals than you can shake a stick at. The doctors usually prescribe the drugs for good. Unfortunately, those prescriptions sometimes get into the wrong hands and dealers and that can make for a pretty big mess in itself. Why, last week a group went to weed and clean the local town garden; to prep it for the coming summer and onslaught of Moms, Dads, and kids, and ice cream cones, and dogs, and whatever else. Some of us went down the other day, the area that we weeded and cut clean was already trashed. Que Sera, Sera. What will be, will be. Every once in a while some of us plan on taking some trash bags, gloves, and clippers down to do a little weeding. What could be better, a little weeding, a feather in your cap, and a cup of coffee (maybe a doughnut, too!). I also hear that Sarah is going to be there.
